THANKS to everyone who has supported the matches throughout the year, we have had loads of banter flying around before, during and after the match which is what the club is all about having a laugh and catching a few fish.

JANUARY

A very good turnout, 21 fishing the first silver fish match on the MAIN LAKE

The first round of the SUNDAY SERIES and KNOCK –OUT and MINI LEAGUES saw 33 fish on the match lake

FEBRUARY

SUPERCUP, ORCHARD ‘A’ v I.O.W ‘B’ we just managed to scrape through, winning by 2 points. No thanks to yours truly who managed to “blank” on the match lake, (tip doesn’t always go round)

Ice breakers were needed for round 2 of the SILVERFISH LEAGUE 15 fished

JACK SILVERFISH RUMBALL won his second match on the trot from the “END PEG” AGAIN!!

We thrashed the I.O.W. SUPERSTARS by a massive 2 points, no pike to help them this time.

SUNDAY SERIES round 4, MATCH AND MAIN 33 fished

After forcing MIN to mix his ground bait, TERRY OVEN CHIP fished the feeder down the middle (MIN forgot to take the line clip off) for a easy win.

BAZZA the one trick pony, feeder man, fished paste on the pole and showed MR BLAKE how it should be done.

Not a good day, tips did not go round, floats would not go under, enough said.

JULY

SUNDAY SERIES round 7 MATCH LAKE 25 fished

JOHN P PEG 11 somehow kept his weight under 200lb from “the flyer”

1^st JOHN P 185lb 14oz

2^nd BLAKEY 166lb 10 oz

FAMILY DAY MATCH LAKE 16 fished

TERRY AND MIN winning this one with a joint weight of 177lb 5oz. The secret pairs was won by SHAINE AND NATHAN with 309lb. BAZZA set a new club record with 205lb 9oz, we are not saying it was black, but he fell in twice and not get wet.

FLOAT ONLY EVENING SERIES again averaging 14 per match, the paste dominated the series, BAZZA easing off over the last couple of matches to give MR BLAKE his first trophy of the year.

AUGUST

6oz in it, at the weigh in PHIL was heard mumbling ‘YOU BLUNT’ we think he was talking about the hooks.

BARRY J returned from his long summer holiday, straight back to winning ways.

BAZZA setting another club record- 3 hour- 125lb 12oz. Shame he is not consistent enough to win an evening series yet!!

Method feeder and dangling a pellet. Can’t wait for the winter when we can all put a float on and blank again, proper fishing!!
